Bayer Crop Science Philippines’ Canlubang Site has officially switched to renewable energy!

On June 26, 2025, members of #TeamBayer and partners from Shell Energy Philippines Inc. gathered at our Canlubang site for a “switching” ceremony to mark the complete transition to 100% renewable energy.

This milestone, powered by a diverse mix of solar and hydro sources provided by Shell Energy Philippines, reinforces our commitment to our global goal of utilizing 100% renewable electricity at Bayer by 2030. This transition not only powers our operations sustainably but also contributes to cleaner air and a healthier environment.

Helping people and planet thrive despite increasing pressures on ecosystems, requires a transformation towards more sustainable farming practices and solutions. Regenerative agricultural solutions offer a pathway to restore soil health, enhance biodiversity, and improve ecosystem resilience while ensuring food security for future generations. 

This was exemplified by BioCoat-Z®, the 2024 Bayer Regenerative Initiative Award winner recognized during the 56th Pest Management Council of the Philippines (PMCP) Anniversary and Scientific Conference last year.  

Bayer Crop Science believes that the future of farming lies in regenerative practices, which not only produce our food but also help restore the environment.
